Model CCM-300 Designed specifically for affordable, efficient testing of difficult-to-measure samples, this meter provides reliable results regardless of the size, thickness, or shape of the leaf or sample. Easily obtain the chlorophyll content of conifer needles, turfgrasses, immature rice, small leaf grain grasses, fruit, CAM plants (agave, prickly pear, cactus, and pineapple), arabidopsis, moss, lichens, stems, petioles, and filamentous algae on rocks. This lightweight meter uses a proven fluorescence ratio technique that allows light to be absorbed by the sample at one wavelength and then re-emitted as fluorescence at longer wavelengths. Measurement modes include single point measurement, measurement averaging for 2 to 30 samples, averaging with 2 sigma outlier removal, and median determination. The meter features 2 GB of non-volatile flash memory, a USB 1.1 output, and a user-friendly 240 x 320 pixel color touch screen and data display. CCM-300 Fluorometer, fiberoptic, sample clip, battery charger, 4 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, USB cable, and manual included. Measured Parameters: CFR or Chlorophyll Fluorescence Ratio - fluorescence emission ratio of intensity at 735nm/700nm or readout of relative chlorophyll content in mg/m-2. Detector: Two solid state, high sensitivity detectors. Band limiting filter sets provided. Dual wavelength detection at the same time. 700nm to 710nm and 730nm to 740nm. Measurement Area: 3mm diameter circle, external diameter of 4mm. Instrument will reliably measure samples that are much smaller than 3mm. Resolution: Ratio 0.01 or 1 mg/m-2. Repeatability: Dependent on signal strength. For samples with low signal strength, averaging of multiple measurements is recommended. For samples with good signal strength, ratio values of ±0.03 or better are common. Storage Capacity: Up to 2 GB of non-volatile flash memory. Operating Temperature Range: 0 to 50°C. Power: 2 rechargeable AA batteries. Auto-Off Interval: Programmable from 0 to 20 minutes (with no key press or download). Dimensions: 4.7” x 3.5” x 1.2”.
